Administration Trainee

We are currently looking for an Administration Trainee for a term of 12 months.

What does an Administration Trainee do?

An administration traineeship is designed to provide you with essential administration and communication skills to work in a professional office environment. You will learn to manage resources and information, deal with customers, produce business documents and manage accounts and financial information.

You will be enrolled in a Certificate III in Business Administration which you will be expected to complete within your term of employment. The study program is delivered on-line and you will be allocated study time each week in order to work through your assigned modules.

You will also complete an on-the-job training program which will enable you to work at various sections and departments in Council. You will rotate through Customer Service, Accounts Payable, Community Development, Executive Support and Human Resources.

In order to succeed in this position, you must have strong communication skills and enthusiasm to learn. You will also require:

  • A good knowledge of computer basics
  • Sound achievement in Year 10 Maths and English
  • A good attendance record at either work or school
  • Be able to demonstrate that you are a good team player.
