About the Opportunity

Carpentaria Shire Council is seeking three permanent Grader Operators/ Construction Workers. If you have a high standard of operating skills on a grader and other road making equipment, we would like to hear from you. This is a great opportunity to join a professional team and work in a job that suits an outdoor lifestyle. These positions will work at various locations throughout the Shire. During the roads construction season, these positions will involve working a ten days on/four days off roster, camping out at remote work-sites in Council provided accommodation. The roads construction season goes from April to approximately November each year. For the remainder of the year, the positions will be based out of Council's Normanton Depot.
Your application will be judged against the following criteria:
- "HR" Licence and Grader Ticket
- Construction Industry Safety Induction Card
- Experience in civil works construction and maintenance
- Ability to work as an effective team member.
