About the Opportunity
Carpentaria Shire Council has an exciting opportunity for a Casual Pool Attendant to work at the Karumba Pool on an "as needs" basis. Weekend work is included. The work will involve pool supervision as well as maintaining the presentation and cleanliness of the pool grounds and immediate surrounds, which includes the Water Park, BBQ area and toilet facilities.
To be considered for this role, you will require the following:
1. Possession of a Pool Lifeguard Certificate or be available to undertake training in early March 2018 in order to obtain your certification prior to commencement in the role;
2. Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card), or the ability to obtain one; and
3. Outstanding customer service skills.
Please note that a medium to high level of aquatic fitness is required for some components of the Pool Lifeguard Certificate course. Candidates must also be physically able to perform CPR on a resuscitation manikin placed on the floor.
