Child Care Worker - Casual
Carpentaria Shire Council is seeking an energetic, enthusiastic and caring person to join our friendly and supportive team at the Normanton Child Care Centre. You must be passionate about children’s development and be motivated to help further develop this important service for families in the local community. Ideally, you will possess a Certificate III in Children’s Services however strong consideration will be given to unqualified applicants keen to pursue a career in the children’s services area.
Unqualified applicants please note: It is essential the successful applicant commence study in order to obtain a Certificate III in Children’s Services after a three (3) month qualifying period in the position.
Your application will be judged against the following criteria:
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a Working with Children Blue Card;
- Ability to undertake study in order to obtain a Certificate III in Children’s Services;
- Possession of, or willingness to obtain, Apply First Aid, CPR and Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification;
- Ability to develop warm and respectful relationships with children and their families;
- Commitment to maintaining a harmonious and confidential working environment.
